Brandon Flowers' Head from Kevin Atkinson on Vimeo.

I did some visuals for the Killers' 2009 tour based on a live video effect I did that resembles the cover art of Day & Age, their latest CD (it's the virtual ballpit effect that's demoed here). This isn't one of tour visuals but a variant of my last post. I was going to pitch the lighting designer on using it, but I think maybe it's a bit too distortive -- you probably shouldn't make your dashing front man look like the elephant man for most of the duration of the effect.

Nonetheless, I thought it looked pretty cool....

Haven't posted in a bit, since I'm up to my eyeballs in various non-art programming projects. This blog was recently on the reddit front page (third time I've made it there!), and I notice while looking at the blog hits that people spend a lot of time meandering about the site looking for the cool stuff, so I thought I would post a brief list of the people's favourites.

This one was my biggest hit so far (made the front page of reddit, and got bounced around some art and design sites as well):

At the bottom of that post are a few links to some of the other effects on the blog.

I had an art show last year. I was rather proud of the flyer art:

For the impatient, here's a video of most of the good stuff in one clip:

Finally, here's a bunch of experiments I did exploring novel ways of representing images through various procedural methods:
