As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm working on a sound-reactive animation. In my quest to come up with some kind of visual analog to the music I was given, I've pursued a number of dead ends, but at one point I tried a very minimalist approach, seeing how simple the base geometry could be and still be interesting. The above pic is an example. A number of the pictures I made suggest textile patterns, and avenue I may pursue later.

WOW! I really like this look of this one. Is this still based off of a whole track? Or is this just one frame of an animated sequence? I think it could be pretty cool to make a whole still from one song, so you could say, this is what the entire song produced.

Hey, thanks Kert! You know, I like this one too, and I can't really put my finger on why. My brain is saying it was too easy to do (the shader is about 6 lines long), but I just like it somehow.

This was just a still to test out the look, and it would have been a single frame from an animation.

But building a single still from an entire track is a very cool idea....
